19th Century Marshall's Dairy Milk Churn c.1820s

This iron milk churn was used by Marshall’s Dairy at the begining of the nineteenth century. Starting off in Rupert St London and moving to Upper St Islington by the 1820’s Marshalls was a large dairy grazing it’s cows on green fields of Islington as it was then not yet a part of London. This piece was then used by The Ilminster Farmers Co op Society to transport milk by railway all over England. Accompanying this Milk Churn are brass and iron measuring ladles from a quarter pint upwards.
