An unusual Victorian strong box with three locks a brass Milner patent plaque and three brass Royal appointment plaques above each keyhole.

 Primarily used for the transport of document or valuables. It would have been taken on long travels, perhaps on a long sea voyage or also used as a diplomats lock box when traveling.
