Edwardian Cast Iron Hooks and Fire Buckets by Merryweather & Sons 1900

£0.00

Reference Number: D10699

Antique early 20th Century Edwardian cast iron hooks by Merryweather & Sons of London, accompanied by four round-bottomed metal fire buckets. The set includes a pair of cast iron hooks mounted to a wooden plinths (totalling 8 hooks, 2 separate plinths) and four buckets. The hooks are painted red and mounted on a wooden plinth, while the red-painted buckets feature 'FIRE' written in black on the front.

The reverse side of each bucket has a half-moon handle for easier and more effective sand or water dispersal. The rounded bottoms of the buckets not only ensured a more forceful water throw but also prevented them from being repurposed, guaranteeing they were always available when needed.
