An English made silver plated & glass novelty wine decanter, A truly beautifully made claret jug, with a Vulliamy style dolphins head fins and tail in silver plate, with blown glass body and scale details. This stylised dolphins head was designed by George Vulliamy for the lamp posts along the Victoria embankment in London 1860, it soon became a very popular subject used by London silversmiths.
